Quick Start Guide

To activate the electricity on your pitch, we use the Metpow smart metering system.
This allows you to monitor your usage in real time and ensures fair energy use for all guests.

Before You Arrive

  1. Download the Metpow App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store.
    Search for “Metpow” (green plug symbol).

  2. Create your account in advance by entering your basic details.
    Doing this at home will make connection quicker on arrival.

On Arrival at Your Pitch

  1. Plug your electric cable into the electric point on your pitch.

  2. Open the Metpow App and select “Scan QR Code.”

  3. Enter your departure date when prompted.

  4. Set up your payment method within the app and save.

    5. You will be asked to verify your details (usually via a text message code or banking app).

    6. A small pre-authorisation amount (typically from £10, depending on your stay length) will be held by your bank.

    7. Follow any final instructions shown in the app.
    8. Your electric supply will then activate.

You can open the app at any time to view how much electricity you are using.

Important: The pre-authorised amount is only held, not taken.

  • If you stay within your included daily allowance, the hold is released when you leave.

  • If you exceed the allowance, only the additional amount used will be charged after departure.

 

Electric Metering & Fair Usage Policy – Lyndon Top

To ensure fairness and our responsible energy use for all guests, Lyndon Top operates a Fair Usage Electric Policy on all electric hook-up pitches.

Each pitch includes a daily electricity allowance within the pitch price. Only usage above this allowance is chargeable.

Cost of Additional Electricity

For transparency, any electricity used above the daily allowance is charged at the same rate we pay our energy supplier. Lyndon Top does not profit from additional electric usage.

There is no charge if you remain within your daily allowance.

In short, the system uses a small digital meter on each pitch.
You simply plug in, scan the QR code, and follow the app instructions.
If you are unsure, our team will always be happy to help on arrival.

For most guests, this system will make no difference to the total cost of their stay.
Only unusually high electricity usage will result in additional charges.
